   Foreign Influences

        Peque Gallaga is considered the Philippines equivalent to the early Spielberg and the director of Pinoy Blonde Movie. This movie is the story of 2 cousins who is Andrew Tan and Conrad Cunanan. Their dying Uncle Tom (Mark Gil) gives them a tasked to deliver a brown bag to Maricopa Hotel which is an abandoned hotel. When they finally get to the place, they encounter gang of criminals which is (Eddie Garcia and Jaime Fabregas) who want to kill them and the interesting part of the movie story started from this scene. Conrad Cunanan (Epi Quizon) in this movie he’s the type of person that is very straight forward and always saying bad words on what he is talking. Andrew Tan (Boy 2) is very sensitive and he feels that he is older than his cousin and a leader.

       After the final minute of the movie Conrad Cunanan and Andrew Tan get the money from the bag and they’re happy because they found out that the girlfriend of Conrad which is Yanni (Iza Calsado) is pregnant. He promised to his cousin that he wants to live life to Yanni forever.

       This movie is a typical Pinoy film it shows the true life story of Filipino people. It also shows us how foreign movies influenced us Filipino. This film proved us that in every foreign movie that we’re watching we Filipino have adapted their culture and we want also to follow them in terms of hair style, dresses and etc. It is now alarming because this movie show us; it is true that Filipino lifestyle and movies is already dying.

         A lot of movies appeal comes from its constant dropping of different film references. There’s so many quotes came from different films Star wars, Kill Bill, Terminator and The Matrix. Some scenes are re-generated in the minds of main character to complement the movies they’ve seen. This movie also has an animation and I think the animation helps a lot the film to be successful. However this film also acknowledges the changes in trends and the Pinoy taste in terms of movie. The music that they use in this film is original composition and very Filipino. This is the best part because they give life to the Filipino music and I think this film gives an example that our music industry is not yet dying.

       In terms of language of this film they used an ordinary language that when you watch this film you can’t imagine that they are professional actors because they’re speaking “BABAL” or Colloquial terms. It is not like watching characters delivering their lines on Big Screen but listening to an ordinary people in the street. I think the language is not fit to the story because if you’re an educated person you don’t want to use a words that the viewers or audience will be offend to what the actors are talking but I understand that the Director has a reason why he choose this kind of language and I think he wants the viewers feel and understand very well that they want to proved that this language will be effective to the story. The viewers enjoy the movie because they use a full conversation where in humor comes from the dialogue itself.

       This is not yet the end of all Filipino movie but it is the beginning that Filipino Directors should inspired to do movies that we should proud of. I observed that we Filipino’s are fan of doing Indie Film in fact I see that it has a potential in our industry. I can say that “There’s no wrong if sometimes your perspective is different from others because if you do what you want it reflects you personality.”

Father vs. Family

          The Shining is one of the exciting I’ve ever seen. This movie is not just horror but suspense and has a family lesson. The shining challenges me to create a film someday that have a package moral lesson to the viewers. Starting this day I am already a fan of Stanley Kubrick, producer and director and Stephen King who is the novelist of the shining. The story started when Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) accepts to be the caretaker of the Overlook Hotel when it’s already winter. Jack decides to move to the hotel with his wife Wendy (Shelley Duvall) and his young son Danny (Danny Lloyd) the reason why jack to the hotel is he wants to use time to finish writing his novel. In that day Jack also recovering alcoholic who broke his son’s arm because he is frustrated with his work.

          Jack meet the Head Chef who is Dick (Scatman Crothers) he has also “The Shining” it is a special power of mind of a person. Dick discovered that Danny has ability like him and they can communicate only in mind, both of them have a power to see the past and future. Danny got started to tell Dick that he has an invisible friend named Tony that live in his mouth.

         A minute ago Wendy decided to contact with the One Station but winter hits the hotel and the phones knocked out of service because of snowstorm but Wendy use radio and it is short wave radio and she is thankful that a guy in the station answer her call and she informed that they are in the hotel. When she goes back to his husband he noticed that there is something wrong with his husband and also the hotel. Dick also call to the station that he needs to contact to the family Torrance in the Overlook Hotel but when Jack hear the phone ringing he destroy it.                               

       Dick feels uncomfortable because he knows that there’s something wrong with Torrance because the ability reflects him and he feels that Jack Torrance is not already in his mind. Dick decides to travel to Overlook Hotel and check up the family. On the Hotel jack not on his mind, he already wanted to kill his family and Danny saying REDRUM to her mother while he is writing it on the center of the door using red lipstick.

         Mr. Dick got to the Hotel but Jack kill him after that Jack keep on calling the name of Danny his son but Danny run outside the house and got to the maze but the only way that Danny’s solution is to stop running because his father following his footstep and his solution is to mislead his father and go back to the starting area of the maze where the Hotel was build. Finally, when got to Hotel her mother is waiting for him and they ride to the car and Jack Torrance died to the maze because of cold.

         The technique of the Director of this film is so effective because every scene of the movie there is a title. At first I thought that this movie is boring but when I hear the music it sounds interesting for me and Danny the young son of Jack is so very good actor even though he is young he knows how to act very well the director choose the actors and actress carefully. Jack’s scenes with the ghosts at the bar and in The Cold Room were representations of his inner dialogue. This movie is an original it doesn’t have a similarity to other movies. I know Kubricks has knowledge about movies but this film is awesome. He is really a good director; in terms of the shots of the film he has so many strategies. The cinematography of this movie is so good the ultimate different of this film is at the beginning of the movie Director Kubrick used long shot and at the end he used zoom in on one of the many black and white photos that line the hotel walls it is so effective because you can feel scared in unconditional ways.

           This picture reminds me that If all people loves and respect our natural resources and they didn’t kill all the animal especially this innocent bird our ecosystem will not be critical or it will become balance and this can help us to live more in this world. I like this picture because I captured the moment when the bird was reflected in the water. It appears like it was kissing its own reflection and I eventually remember the Greek mythological character named Narcissus.

            Narcissus is handsome young men who fall in love with his own reflection in the lake because of s nymph’s curse to him. This picture shows what I want to achieved in terms of photography. This picture that I captured the setting that I used ISO 800, shutter speed 1/125, aperture 5.6 and the lens that I used is telephoto lens 55-250. The reason why I choose this picture because I loved to captured the moment of all animals and they give me an extraordinary feeling.

NERVE RUNNER

            Ridley Scott, the director of Blade runner was created an unforgettable image of Decaying City.  The sky is always, either by the rain clouds or residual fallout from nuclear war. Night and Day don’t seem much different. Blade Runner takes place in the year 2019 in Los Angeles. Specialized Robot was developed to act as slaves on an off world colony. Robots are called Replicants. This is because they are similar to human being yet created without emotions. SIX Replicants escape to the Earth, It is the job of Harisson Ford to find and kill them which they called Blade Runner.

            In the story there are two levels of human beings in the film. The upper level is affluent and healthy. Who are given the opportunity to begin a golden world opportunity and adventures. Second is destitute or unhealthy which they are unable to go off to another planet. They are trapped on version of earth which is dark.

          This level of the replicants who are treated as a slave and out of the world colony and used the hazardous exploration of the other planets. After the colony of the Earth replicants were declared as an illegal and Blade Runner has a mission to shoot and kill all the replicants. There was a fear on the part of Blade Runner; Replicants begin to feel emotion that’s why to prevent this, each replicants was given a four life span.

           After the final minute of the movie Harrison is hanging off the roof as the replicant want to kill him but it is different from what I am expecting. The replicant catches him and explained and given an option to share his compassion with the audience. Replicant is so powerful but he never kills the Blade Runner who killed his fello replicants. Instead, he accepted the truth that they will never live in the Earth for so long years and they should be thankful that they are given a chance to experience the life of being a normal human beings.

          Most humans in the movie are portrayed as less caring and less emotional replicants. The main character Deckard, is played by Harrison Ford and his emotionally restrained acting he human style is perfectly suited to the task. The only human portrayed with sympathy is an outcast who has more in common with the replicants than the human society. The performances of the actors and actresses in the movie are so amazing and they act as what they want the audiences can relate with their own character. It is so effective for me an as an audience to watch this movie because even if it is only an imaginative story, you can relate to the flow of the movie. We can determine the powerful of how technology takes place in our community. This movie gives as an idea on how we human being is so powerful in terms of technology. It is so alarming for us people that we should use the technology wisely and effectively because this movie gives us the positive and negative perspective that we should use our minds and don’t be dependent on the technology that we are using. It is the movie that when you’re going to elaborate and understand each step you can feel the nerve story of the movie. If you’re the kind of person that is not open minded at first you cannot understand what the difference between replicants and a normal human being but at the end if you’re a conscious person you can understand and image what they want you to prove.

       The visual and aural components of Blade Runner are so effective that flows in the plot can be overlooked. Blade Runner leak atmosphere and is a sci-fi classic.

Stress Therapy

      We are all experiencing stress because of studies, work, and etc. The very demanding professors requiring us students to submit “out of this world” projects at a very limited time are so stressing. In the near future we will hunt a job and job haunting is another burden. When we were hired our bosses are very demanding, strict, authoritative, and irritating, again this will cause too much stress. Even at home we are experiencing stress. Our mothers are nagging at us, fathers are very strict, or siblings are very irritating. Because of these stresses we need to stress out and relax.

       Every individual has its own way to relieve stress and here is my own way to release stress. I call this “Singing in the Bathroom Therapy.”

       Filipinos love to sing. In every little thing we do we always sing. When we are in love we sing because we want to express our feelings. We love to sing alone or together with our friends. Music is part of our daily lives; many Filipinos are popular here and abroad because of singing. Filipinos really love to sing.

       When I am stressed because of hard day's work I go to the bathroom and sing. Because in the bathroom the sound will echo and I can have to relieving sound of my voice. And singing will release my stresses as well as my feelings. This is my way to stress out “The Singing in the Bathroom Therapy."

“Friendship”

                    I am a type of person who has a positive perspective in life. I f I think that the person I am talking with is compatible to my attitudes he/she will be my friend and if he/she is honest that’s the thing our friendship will last forever. Claudine is a type of person that I loved so much because all the treats of being a friend I saw to her. When I transfer here in manila year 2009 she’s the first person who accept me as a real me and accept all the negative and positive things in my life. She also accepts me and treated me as her sister because we have the same attitudes and perspective in life. Until now were bestfiend 4 years hadn’t see each other but until now she’s the same but one thing I realized and she admitted it that she gain weight and she always laugh. We talked each other and share a story about our life even though we have lacked of time to talk each other but we still excited to share who is our boyfriend. This is our memorable moments and because we are addict in taking pictures on ourselves 4 years we didn’t see each other and this is it see the differences... huhuhu It so nice and we are giving each other a simple remembrance because as she knows how I treasure all the gifts that she given to me.

“Love vs. Friendship”    

    

           My friends and I think a concept about love story and friendship and if we finished it’s our time to shine in youtube like jamich but the difference is it’s the story of a friendship and love taht never ends. We all want this to be successful and at the same time a trip and show them that Mass Communication is not only in talking but we showcase all the talents. We started to think a concept and shoot it right away because my friend has a DSLR and it’s so easy for us to think and shoot anytime. This day is an example on how masscom show their talents to everyone but our goal is to treasure our friendship and to give them positive relationship about love and friendship. We all done with concept but the problem is we don’t have a time to shoot because we are free section and we don’t have the same vacant time but my friend which is ted say’s that we need to shoot after our P.E because next meeting we don’t have a P.E and it’s our time. We are so excited and want to finish this romantic friendship love story. We want this video to be successful not in other people but to show and proved to ourselves that we have a talent and our group is not only for talking but It has a sense.

Showtime is a noontime show where Vice Ganda become popular and he also give’s inspiration to all universities because without him showtime will not become popular at the same time Vice Ganda is also give’s inspiration and example that being a gay is not a pestilence in our society instead they showcase a talent which is to performed in our front to make us happy and proud. Vice GAnda and other Gay’s are example that life is not unfair it is your choice and they proved that a society will not be positive and happy if they not proved themselves to us. A gay is not a pestilence in my opinion because honestly I like to have a brother that’s a gay and I have so many friends that are gay or they called BI but they are so happy to be with and they treasure a friendship that never ends. I think without them in our society we will not strong because they’re the examples for us to think positive in life and most of gay’s become successful in their life.  I admit that have an experienced to be like them...hahah a lesbian and it’s so cool to be a bisexual but the problem is my mother hates me to be like a BI. She says that if you love yourself be respectful and your father don’t want you to be a bisexual because you have a sister and being a girl last forever. God created you to be his servant and he has a purposed why he created you to be a woman and you should be thankful be contented for all the blessings that given to you. This is the first time I hear my mother that she’s emotional and serious to adviced me this kind of wonderful words because ever since she didn’t confront me this kind of meaningful words. I realized that I shoud be thankful for all the blessings and respect all my parents and siblings.

I’m so irritated this day because I lost my ID and I don’t know where I can find it I can’t also remember where placed I lost my ID . I didn’t wear it because I’m wearing PE uniform and it is also hard to wear because I feel so itchy on my neck .After I lost my ID it’s now my vacant and we go outside the campus to eat lunch and I noticed that I can’t find my ID on my bag and the big problem is how can I enter the campus if I don’t have an ID the solution is to encode on the guard and enter my student number on the computer and that is a violation it means to say 3 hours community service  but I don’t have a choice. After that I report to OSACS that I lost my ID and how I can enter the University without ID and they give me instruction to block my ID so that no one could be able to use my ID to enter the university. I process all the requirements and they give me a paper to prove that I already report about the lost of my ID. The paper is valid within 6 days and I already go to my class which is PE class and my friend texted me and give my ID he says that my friend who is carl found my ID at AB and I am so thankful because if I am going to change my ID it cost 450 php and it is so expensive for us student.

                 I am the type of person that doesn’t like to communicate using technology or fun of texting and not belong to a clan group because I am a miser. I’ve always talked to my classmates in person because I know that I always don’t have a load but I have a cell phone and I believed that if I have a load and It will be wasted because I don’t have a text mate and I also don’t want to search or wanted to text to someone who is in non sense topic. My mother always gives me a load and it’s only 5php because she knows that I don’t use my cell phone if there is no emergency. My mothers give me a cell phone for me to be safe and she knows where I am. She gives me gadgets not because to text someone but the main purposed is, she can monitor me all the time. I honestly I am not luxurious or social person and I am already contented for what gadgets I have because I always believed that cell phone is the way on how other people or a strangers communicate us.

The reason why I don’t load my cell phone because I saved my money for important purposes and money mother gave me an allowanced for my study and not for cell phone to text for not important persons. Our parents work hard for us to be good students and we should give a value for all the sacrifices of our parents.

             Facebook is the networking site which most Filipino has. It is the number 1 networking site which is popular in our country specially Philippines because even though kids or in the minor ages they are tend to use facebook everyday. I admit that I am a facebook lover and fun of using games in this site. I always open my facebook and it is the site that I can communicate with my friends outside the country. I like to search my school friends because I miss them and they’re also part of my everyday life. Facebook for me is my best friend and I don’t know why... But I think the first reason why I do this every day it is because it has a skype and my mother is on abroad it is hard for us to communicate using cell phone that’s why we communicate in facebook and to also to be practical. Facebook showcase all the kinds of site because it has a tweeter, skype we can communicate and leave a message to each other. Facebook also helps me to improve my skills because I am bisaya I learned so much from facebook on how to spell other deep tagalog words and meaning and how to speak and say it carefully.

1st time to visit this CHURCH

STA. CRUZ CHURCH

             First time i saw this chuch I am so shuck it is very beautiful I feel that I am so pleasure to visit this church. My first impression about the mussaic of the church is I was so confuse about the sign of P with X in the center. I can say that this church level as the manauag church in pangasinan because it give me as an mysterious and I cannot explain what does it feel to be part of the catholic. When I was in the sta. cruz church the painting is very artistic when I entered the gate I already saw the painting at the center it is very religious when I was their. I feel that even if the other country would visit this church they will be surprise for  the artistic work of the filipino's. It was so happy to feel that we are the one of the most artistic person and most of all the feeling of being religious is still their when you go to this church. This chuch is one of the most  respected churches and well respected building in the city of Manila. Even if the surroundings of this church will affect the main figure and beauty of the church it is not considered as the main problem because being religious is not in outside ability and figure of the person being religious is inside and they are already accept what will be the god's purpose to them. Other filipino would not rather imagine or appreciate the art work of the mosaic but i feel that the one who paint this mosaic of the church he express his feelings in what he do he love what is his profession from now a days because when you enter in this church you feel the love that the people serve in this church even if they are already in 392  years they are still maintain the beauty and atractive of this mosaic. It is the one that very atractive and catch my attention when I got their. I already realize that being religious is not only the word that you will say and you did not do and I think god has a purpose why he do this. He has a purpose why he give it to us. Being a Catholic I appreciate this artwork I believe that the one who do this god give him a talent that he will serve to God the purpose of our almighty God is to show to everyone that we have a talent don't hesitate to show your talent and don't be shy to give all your ability on what you are doing because GOD has a purpose why he choose you to do that thing.When I go to this church I did not saw the real color of the mosaic but I feel that GOD is their to guide me all the time.

“SWAG”

        Swagger is a word that I’ve always read on my facebook page and I don’t know what’s the meaning of swagger they called but they’ve always keep on talking each other SWAGGER. At first, I misinterpret swagger as a group of people or a clan that they called themselves a swagger because if one person says swagger the other person also replied your swagger and I think it is their call sign. I search it and swagger is being amazed to one thing on a person. At this time as i search the meaning of swagger I’ve always say it to my friends and I think it’s now our expression specially most of teenager. For me it’s okay to say to one person a swagger rather than words that are not meaningful or you cannot found in a dictionary because being swag is amazing and it’s okay to hear than other words that we cannot eat. But the best way that I’ve learned in this world, don’t just talked into others if you don’t know the meaning of words you are talking with. Search first and know the meaning before you say it and vulgar it to public. Being a student and daughter it’s been so hard for me to become a good one in terms of all the responsibilities but I think it’s okay because I am honest and even if this is my attitude they should be accepted all of this because being a real person you should say and show all of your attitudes and the colour of your own world because in fact they will accept it because they don’t have a choice that’s why they need to accept you even if they don’t want you.

NSTP

"Tapat Ko, Linis Ko"

The "Tapat Ko, Linis Ko" will be implemented 24th day of February 2012. This project will be launched by the NSTP (National Service Training Program) administration headed by Prof. Olaco in cooperation with MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority), NSTP2 students, and volunteers.This is also the first project of NSTP 2 students in FEU (Far Eastern University).

This project aims the removal and ban of smoking areas around FEU(Far Eastern University) such as gates 1, 2, 3, and 4 to make the campus smoke-free. This is also the same as the project of the Manila City Hall which is the Smoking Ban. It is also the same as the Students, vendors, and NSTP administration gave their opinions about the said project.

The Smoker-students's Reaction

"Nothing," said Fren Keenan Reyes a second year Mass Communication student when asked what he will feel if the smoking designated areas will be removed.Another student named Jolo Merced an HRM student answered that it is okay if smoking areas will be removed because it will lessen the pollution outside the campus. In contrary to the first two students' statements a 19-year old Mass Communication student named Juan Saavedra said,"I will feel persecuted."

A Vendor's Grievance

Nimfa Perez a cigarette vendor outside FEU's gate 2 disagreed to the removal of smoking areas because it will affect her business and income."It will lessen my daily sales," she answered when asked what will be the effect in her business if smoking will be banned in FEU.She also added that she is not willing to help students to quit from smoking because most of her customers are students.

The Views of NSTP Admin

In behalf of Prof.Olaco the head for NSTP of FEU, his secretary is interviewed.

"We will give ID to those who want to volunteer and cooperate in the prevention of cigarette smoking. Every hour there will be assigned volunteers with ID with as an Identification that they are part of our campaign to stop smoking. And there will be policemen around not only in gate 2 but also in gates 1, 3, and 4," he said when asked how will they implement the project. "FEU will be smoke-free so students will benefit from this project.

 Majority of students are non-smokers," he added."All of the vendors on the street are illegal and, according to the City Hall the area surrounded by siomai vendors is actually a parking lot but vendors infested the area because high officials were behind them," he exposed."We are planning to plant and clean up the surrounding area of gate 2 so that smokers will no longer throw cigarette butts there," he assured.

The NSTP administration's campaign to make the university smoke-free although not yet implemented different reactions by students, vendors already aroused about this. The administration is willing to help and prevent the FEU (Far Eastern University) smoke free and the Manila City Hall. Students taking NSTP 2 is the one who  is responsible to act as a leader of the said program.

The said project will be launched on February 24, 2012 with the help of NSTP 2 students of Far Eastern University. The program will protect the students to prevent from smoking and to maintain the cigarette butts in our country,' Secretary stated".Tapat ko, Linis ko is initiated programs on Solid Waste Management through waste segregation.

         When I was 3^rd year High School I’m section 22 and they have a group

Which they called ZTown. It’s my first time and I admit that I don’t know how to speak tagalog words because I stayed here in manila within 3 weeks and it’s so hard for me to adjust because I came from bisayas region and the funny thing there is my classmate teach me how to speak tagalog words in front of my some classmates. I am so shy but it’s for my sake so I accept all of the laughter and specially my teacher. In Facebook my classmate Paul Ryder chat me in our group page and he says “Janine ang laki na ng pinagbago mo.”I’m so shuck about what he said and I replied him what’s the reason why you said that to me? And all person change and he replied you been changed a lot but don’t changed your attitudes as what I know you and you been so beautiful since I meet you...and the only thing I replied him is I didn’t want to change my good attitude paul and as what you same it is still the same the only one change to me is my age...My classmates post comments and I am there topic. 3 consecutive days that I am trending in our group. They say that I been so special for them and I am so touch because they loved me and as a president of our class I am so thankful and honoured because they treasure all of what we’ve experienced before. This day is a special day because I know that there are people who treasure a friendship and don’t forget all the good and wonderful past time that given to us because all of this is our memories that no one called break and a GOD purposed for us.

“Ribsy the Dog”

  

            Ribsy the dog is a kind of a book that give’s lesson and inspiration to those person and family that loves so much dog and treat them as their family. As a person I’m so frustrated and affected with this story because I have 7 dogs and they’re my bestfriend because my mother give them a budget the same as my allowance because she given me weekly budget and same also with my pets but higher as my allowance. I am a pet lover specially DOG I loved them so much because without them I don’t know what to do and they’re my inspiration especially if I have a problem I talked to them and they lessen. I know that if they have a right to speak they’re the one who give me an advised specially my favourite and first dog name JU. He is my bestfriend and if I got home he’s the one who’s going to our gate and barked me with matching excitement. I’m so happy I feel that all my problems stay away because of him. JU is an askal dog and he is the only one who doesn’t have a breed in all my dogs but he is the most intelligent among all dogs that I have. He knows how to open our gate and make me feel comfortable but besides his so sweet he has a problem because his left foot was gone because of train but he still alive and we need to comfort him and he is under processed on diet because he could not be able to walked if he will gain weight and his right foot will malfunction that’s why he is a vegetarian dog and he’s not allowed to eat all kinds of fish and smelly foods.

         "JOURNALISM"

    The knowledge that I gain from the video presentation is super different from my expectation because as I expect being a member of a media is so easy and you will not encounter so many trials that also the government will become your rival. Radio is the most accessible of media and it is the most old form that the media has. Their are so many programs and stations that radio has and it is so overwhelming that many popular artist have contributed knowledge and power to build a station and a government employee also has a big contribution to the media itself but their is a negative side of the government employee especially in a highest position they uses their power to become the prime mover of the country that the individuals will not agree to make it happen. Being a member of a media is so truimph  and lucky based from what I observed but it is already different from now a days everybody change a lot. Based from what I saw from the video presentation I don't like what marcos did to all the journalist because their has a discrimanation to some media. He is the only one make some unlawful activities that the journalist will not agreed to make it happen again. The activities that he is so selfish. He is making himself a hero of the philippines but he didn't success from what he wished. He is the only one making the Philippines in a martial law and the filipino people doesn't want to make it happen again.

Binyag, Kasal, Libing: Sabay-sabay… paanong naganap?

         This play shows that Filipino have different attitudes and personalities. It is the play that give’s inspiration or treats Filipino has. Dreamweaver’s want us to shows what are the perspective Filipino’s to help their family and how they sacrifice to  sustained the needs of their love ones. Filipino’s think that they do this because this is their way on how to survive from poverty. The play gives us the special reason to think that we need first to think before we act and decide with great spontaneous. The best thing that I admire FTG (Feu Theater Guild) on the way they act as a protagonist and antagonist on the play. They relate their lives to the cast that they play with. Most of us Filipino’s are thinking that if we finished studies we want to go abroad and serve other nationals because of high salary than in our own country. It relates to the play Dreamweaver’s because they want us to realize that we need to think positive and not always negative of our country. In terms of costumes of play it’s very effective way on how an audience could be able to relate what they want to achieved and how we can realized all the negative things we do. Dreamweaver’s want us also to proved that we Filipino’s have high dreams and goals in our life and this goal’s is not in ourselves but for our family and relatives and I think this play want us to show that we need to be open-minded and don’t selfish and if we help each other we can improved and change the mindset of our fellow Filipino. Beautiful story and the cast members are good and the production team but the problem is we cannot hear the voice of other because of a fake microphone and they speak so fast that’s why there has a words that we cannot understand specially at the back but all in all it’s good...

"Physical Education"

Last November 8, 2011  Janine S. Penticase and John Ted Cordero plays Volleyball  at Far Eastern University at 3:00pm,

Janine Penticase a 2nd Year Mass Communication Student is so excited to play but she doesn't know how to play it. Her classmates laugh at her because she doesn't know how to balanced the ball in her hand.

She noticed that John ted Cordero also don't know how to play volleyball and they wondered how they will survived to this subject if they don't know the basic steps and how to control the ball in their hand.

Mrs. lopez is a good professor in P.E Department and she promissed that she will teach very well to her student especially to her two student that don't have an idea how to play this kind of game.

She said that they should remember  "Big things came from small begginings." and don't underestimate yourself If others can do,so why do you. You belong to Far Eastern University a Tamaraw means that you are brave you fight for all the challenges in your life.

Be inspired by the person you like and remember that "if you can image it, you can do it" said by Mrs.lopez. 

“Valentine’s Day”

     This Valentine’s Day or in Filipino “Araw ng mga PUSO”. We Filipinos celebrate Valentine ’s Day because we all know that celebrating this special day with your love ones is the unforgettable day of a family or even if you don’t have a partner or boyfriend because hearts day is not only for couple but it is also for family bonding. I admit that I don’t have a boy friend or partner to celebrate and the same as well with my parents is not here but it’s not the reason that I need to be sad or downcast and belong to SMP the called or Samahang Malamig ang PUSo. This valentine I cook leche plan for my sister and her boyfriend the same also it’s my first time to surprised them that I cook desert for them and I don’t care if I doesn’t have a partner as long as I know that there are so many persons that love me and care for me. I remember what bible says that we are not alone because even if you cannot see him, he still loves you no matter what happen. Having a partner in this celebration is not important as long as you know and honest to yourself that there are so many people loves you and first is your GOD.

“Adobe Photoshop”

       

        I as a person honestly I don’t know how to use some things like adobe and this is the problem. It’s so hard for me because I don’t have an experience to do something in Adobe Photoshop and because it’s our project and seatwork I don’t have a choice. Although I talked to myself and say Janine you can do it...but how I can do if i don’t have skills. I’m so pathetic at the same time because I think I am the most weak and don’t have a skills in computer. I can’t imagine that my tears is no fallen because I don’t know how to use and it’s so hard for me ...i can’t imagine myself being so stressful with this Adobe It super hard but after 30mins. I read the instruction and i got it I already understand all the steps that need to accomplish. I am so happy that if I read the instruction I can understand it ...so the lesson that I realized is to read first the instruction before you react to the situation. Follow the instruction of for leader for us to understand the entire given task. I admit that Adobe Photoshop is hard to use because you need to exert effort and give a lot of time to edit the pictures that you want but if you study it carefully and have a determination to learn this kind of techniques you can achieved want is your goal in that lesson also you will understand and enjoy to edit your pictures. I talked to myself and say that be careful and read first the instruction and think carefully before you react. It’s like read first the book before you judge it.

“Bad Day”

          This day is a bad day for me because I am so irritated with my sister; she’s also studying in FEU and a tourism student. I am so disappointed and being a sister I feel so demon to her because she already know that my last class is 6:00pm and she texted me that she doesn’t have a money 7:30 pm and she says that she can’t go home because she doesn’t have a money to pay all the expenses to go home. I replied her that I’m already at Edsa station and it’s already so far from her. The only way for her to go home is to borrow money from her classmate but she replied that her classmates don’t have a money and she wanted me to go back in school but I’m so irritated because manila to taguig 2 hrs and 30 mins. I am already home and same time I am so stress because of so many project and quiz but she still want me to go back to pasay and I am now in taguig.I am so stress and irritated and so fool because of what she did and I texted her if you want to go home make a way and strategy use your coconut shell you are now 21 years old and I know you are already old to texted me and think that kind of attitude. I also texted her why you informed me 7:30pm even if you know that my last class is 6:00pm .But I don’t have a choice and just to think a best strategy that I can. I also texted her that don’t go just stay in our school and I will text my classmate that he will give you a money but she texted me that she is now at the Edsa station near pasay. I am so fool and irritated I want her already to say anything bad words but I can’t do it because I respect her and even if my father don’t say to us this kinds of words. The only thing that came in my mind is to go home and inform my brother that my sister doesn’t have money and she’s in the Edsa station. In all the problems that we’ve encounter GOD is their because she doesn’t give us a problem that a person cannot surpass.

Question in our Minds

As of two years using my facebook news feed I've always read status update of my friends about love life or having a relationship.It's so familiar for us teenagers, having a relationship has a big role in ourlives and most of the time having a trouble with it, why we are so overprotective in terms of love? pointless it seems.

Why we didn't focus on our studies? It's not a reason that you're now in a college level you can do everthing and anything under the sun but the fact is we are the one who are paying our education.It's not that you're in high school, natural for us teenagers are agressive in terms of love.But it doesn't stoped there, that you're agressive you can do anything what you want. All things has a limitation.

As a normal students we're keep on asking the curiculum of our school. Why does Mass Communication have math subject, Political Science have psychology,tourism have logic subject?. These are the questions that buthered in our minds admit it, or not.Why does our school give didn't give us a major subjects that we can't use in future? However, what is the essence of this. It's the way of our school to make money? A proved that FEU (Fastest Earner University) these are the questions that we didn't know what's the answer.

In short, Pencil Case a kind of things that important for students.It's a case where all pencils are placed.Case represents soul and body, it's the person who wrote and think the idea on what the story is all about.Each pencils inside the case is a representation of life and strong emotion of feelings of each person.It is also counted that how many pencil placed in this case will be the minds and judgement of each person and readers. In this time when we are studying and we are lost use of heart problem, family problem and worst course or problem in subjects, just always think positive don't underestimate yourself. Don't surrender in whatever dermands of life may come. Remember that GOD does not give any trial that one cannot surpass. If you can imagine it, you can do it.

Growing UP

"Advantages and Disadvantages of growing Up"

Parents always want to make the best decisions for their children. The most essential decision they have to make is the size of their family. Parents have to consider whether it is better for their children to grow up in a large family or to grow up in a small family. Still, I believe there is no best family size. A large family and a small family both have their own advantages and disadvantages in the aspects of family’s finance and child companionship. 

A family financial condition is tightly related to the size of the family. The living cost for a large is surely much higher than the living cost for a small family. As the result, children in a large family would have less financial supports from their parents.

In contrast, in a small family, parents can give more resources to their children. For instance, their children can receive better education, or have more opportunities to develop some costly interests, such as piano. My friend, Dave, is the only child in their family. Their parents always support him to do whatever the things he wishes to do, such as traveling aboard and developing his interest in music. On the other hand, I, growing up in a large family, do not have as many chances to do things I want as Dave do. From this example, I believe children in a small family can receive more supports from their parents than children in a large family can receive. 

Although children in the large family might not receive much supports from their parents, they have more companies to talk to and to play with. That is definitely a great advantage for children in a large family. They will not feel lonely at home because their brothers or sister are always their best companies throughout their lives. On the other hand, if a family only has a single child, the child would often feel lonely, and feel eager to have a brother or a sister. Luck enough, I have a brother and a sister, and I never feel lonely at home. They are always the best friend to talk to and to share my feeling with. Children would definite benefit a lot from having more companies at home, and it is an advantage a small family doe not have.

After all, there is not really an answer for the best family size because both large and small family have their own advantages and disadvantages. Children in a small family can receive more supports than children in a large family. However, children in a large family can have more companies at home than children in a small family can have. Because the size of a family could affect children greatly, the parents should think carefully before they decide how many children they are going to have.

"Help our Environment"


I grew up in a environment where pollution, disease, and other problems are a big issue. Cars and factories release greenhouse gasses into the air, and forests are being cut down. In other countries, many people are behind on cures for diseases. Many people talk about how the polar ice caps are melting and the ozone layer depleting. An Inconvenient Truth opened my eyes to see how today's technology and garbage affect these environmental disasters, and I want to do something about it. 
I do some things to make myself more environmentally friendly. I walk to school instead of driving because I live about two blocks away. I also take the bus when I go downtown or my friend's house. When I need to get somewhere and many people are going, I carpool with some friends. I recycle any cardboard boxes and milk cartons, and I reuse water bottles and fill them with filtered tap water instead of buying more water. I take short showers and I don't leave the facet on when I am brushing my teeth.
At school, I am constantly learning about the environment and how we are affecting it. I noticed recycle and compost bins in the cafeteria and an old Asian woman picking up cans and bottles in the gym. In the A.P. Environmental Science class, I see how other third world countries are less fortunate than us and how we just dump our trash in their countries. We need to find a way to use less resources and produce less trash so other countries can improve their standard of living. 
During the summer of 2008, I was a intern at North East Medical Services (NEMS), which is a clinic near Chinatown. I worked as a lab technical assistant and they had strict safety regulations. I always had to wash my hands and wear latex gloves because I was transporting blood samples. My mentor told me that a clean work place reduces the chance of people spreading any diseases. He also told me that many people are ill because their houses or work places are unsanitary. 
A clean environment is good for everyone, but we are far from one. If we continue what we are doing, most of our natural resources would be gone and our future generations would have nothing to survive on. We should focus more on renewable energy sources like the wind, sun, and maybe even rain instead of wasting all of our fossil fuels. We also need to do more with our trash instead of burning or burying it. I hope that if apply my studies to environmental problems and coming up with a solution to them, I can help make a better future for everyone.
